A Palestinian girl, displaced and traumatized by the ongoing Israeli bombardment in Gaza, has made an emotional plea for an immediate ceasefire, calling on world leaders to end the war and alleviate the suffering of her people.
According to Al Jazeera, the young girl was forced to flee once again with her family after losing contact with her father during a recent airstrike. In a video widely shared on social media, she tearfully appealed: “Stop this war, let us breathe — we are truly exhausted.”
Addressing global leaders, she cried out: “Have mercy on us. Feel our pain. Understand our suffering. Tell us, where should we go?” The girl urged the world to witness the devastation faced by children and civilians in Gaza: “Look, listen — see what is happening to our people, to our children.”
In a related development, a British surgeon working at a hospital in Gaza stated that children there are dying due to the absence of basic medical supplies and food: “We are losing children who could otherwise be saved,” she said.
The United Nations has also sounded the alarm, warning that Gaza faces a catastrophic food shortage. If humanitarian aid does not arrive within the next 48 hours, an estimated 14,000 children could die from starvation.
