Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu signaled his approval of the ceasefire announced by US President Donald Trump, warning that Israel would retaliate against any breach of the truce.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu claimed that Israel had achieved all its strategic objectives in the military campaign against Iran, including neutralising threats from Tehran’s nuclear program and ballistic missile capabilities.
He formally approved the ceasefire proposal put forward by US President Donald Trump.
According to Netanyahu, Mossad officials briefed him that Israel had "achieved all of the objectives of Operation Rising Lion, and much more."
"Israel has removed a dual immediate existential thre2t, both in the nuclear and ballistic missile fields," he said in a statement.
Netanyahu further asserted that Israeli forces had "achieved full air control over Tehran’s skies, inflicted severe damage on Iran’s military leadership, and destroyed dozens of central Iranian government targets."
