Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called on the Iranian people to rise up against their government, and promised Israeli support for development if they do so.
He claimed that Iran is facing a looming water crisis and that its citizens are suffering under economic strain.
In a video posted on his official X account of Israeli PM, Netanyahu accused Iran’s leadership of waging war against Israel while neglecting domestic needs.
He warned that Iran’s dams could run dry by September or October, citing severe water shortages, electricity problems, and high inflation.
Highlighting Israel’s own water management, he said the country recycles 90% of its water, adding that Iranian children “don’t have cold water” in the summer heat.

Netanyahu pledged that if Iranians overthrow their government, “Israel’s top water experts will flood into every Iranian city, bringing cutting-edge technology and know-how.”
He further alleged that Iran’s rulers are diverting public funds to finance Hezbollah, Hamas, and the Houthis, rather than addressing citizens’ hardships.
Calling on Iranians to protest and rally against the authorities, Netanyahu invoked the words of Israel’s founder Theodor Herzl, “If you will it, a free Iran is no dream. Now is the time for action. Now is the time to fight for freedom.”
