The Pakistan Hajj Mission (PHM) said on Saturday that it has received 38,229 pilgrims so far in Saudi Arabia under the government Hajj scheme, launched last month by operating a flight on April 29, according to the Ministry of Religious Affairs.

PHM spokesman Muhammad Umar Butt told state run platform APP that these pilgrims arrived in Madina and Makkah via 143 flights.

Additionally, 3,440 more intending pilgrims are expected to reach the Kingdom today through 13 remaining scheduled flights, including five from Lahore, four from Karachi, three from Islamabad, and one from Multan.

This year, 88,380 Pakistani pilgrims are set to perform Hajj under the government scheme, while more than 23,000 will travel under the private scheme, the spokesman added.

In compliance with Saudi regulations, each pilgrim was being issued a Nusuk Card, which was mandatory for entry into Haram Sharif.

The cards were being distributed upon arrival through Tawafa Company Al-Rajhi, which was responsible for facilitating Pakistani pilgrims during Hajj.

To ensure smooth communication and quick resolution of complaints, the PHM is actively using the Pak Haj App, two toll-free helplines (8002450028 and 8002450029), and dedicated WhatsApp numbers (+923700037425 and +923700037427).

On the healthcare front, the PHM has established two central hospitals, one each in Makkah and Madina and 11 dispensaries (nine in Makkah and two in Madina), staffed by 303 doctors and medical personnel.

These facilities were equipped with modern medical equipment, including ambulances, X-ray and ultrasound machines, ECG units, laboratories, minor operating theatres, and designated wards for men, women, and isolation cases.
