Pakistan, Egypt condemn Israeli military actions in Gaza, occupied West Bank

Both Pakistan and Egypt showed deep concern about the deteriorating situation in the Palestinian territory, and condemned Israel’s military activities in Gaza and occupied West Bank, and called for an immediate end to violence.

According to the statement released by the Foreign Office, the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar spoke about the situation over the phone call with his Egyptian counterpart Badr Abdelatty.

Both ministers condemned continued Israeli military actions in Gaza and occupied West Bank, increasing attacks from the Israeli occupiers and persistent violations at Al-Aqsa mosque in the occupied East Jerusalem.

An immediate cessation of hostilities, free flow of humanitarian aid and strict adherence to international law was emphasized.

The two also examined the Jordanian initiative to hold talks involving Arab and Islamic states to enhance diplomatic cooperation for the support of Palestinians.

They also talked about the regional issues and underlined the need for exercising caution and engaging in dialogue and diplomacy in order to maintain peace and stability in the region.

In the meantime, new attacks by Israeli forces killed three Palestinians and wounded 20 others in new violations of ceasefire in the Gaza Strip today, according to medics.

In south Gaza, a doctor at Nasser hospital said two Palestinians were killed and 16 others wounded in an Israeli attack using drone against civilians in Al-Majayda district of Al-Mawasi, west of Khan Younis.
