UK: Passenger reportedly of Indian origin makes bomb threat on Easyjet flight

A man was arrested in the UK after causing panic on board an EasyJet flight by loudly chanting slogans and issuing a fake bomb threat.
The incident occurred on Sunday during a flight from Luton to Glasgow Airport.
A video recorded by a fellow passenger shows the man, reportedly of Indian origin and identified as Abhay Nayak, shouting phrases such as “Death to America,” “Death to Trump,” and “Allahu Akbar.”
He also issued bomb threats while claiming he wanted to send a message to US President Donald Trump, who was on a visit to the UK at the time.

Disturbed by his behavior, two passengers restrained Nayak and pinned him to the floor of the aircraft until the flight landed safely.
Following the incident, the 41-year-old was detained and charged with assault and endangering the safety of an aircraft.
The video, which quickly went viral online, was reviewed by counter-terrorism police as part of the ongoing investigation. However, Abanya Nayak from Luton, did not face terrorism charges.
The accused was presented at Paisley Sheriff Court, where he did not formally respond to the charges. He was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear again in court for a future hearing.
