'Sincere effort to bring two Punjabs closer': Imran Abbas on upcoming cross-border film ' Jee Ve Sohneya Jee'

Actor Imran Abbas, a longtime advocate for cross-border collaboration between India and Pakistan, recently starred in a Punjabi film thatthat tells a heartwarming tale of cross-border love.
Taking to Instagram to share about his upcoming project, Jee Ve Sohneya Jee, an Indian Punjabi film helmed by director Thapar, Imran Abbas stated, “JEE VE SOHNEYA JEE holds great significance for me. It is more than just a movie. It is a sincere effort to bring two Punjabs and their people even closer: It is a gift from me and my team to all those who believe in the power of love that transcends all boundaries. Love is the greatest blessing bestowed upon us by our creator, who made us all regardless of where we live or our origins.”
Imran Abbas emphasised that art and culture are powerful tools to combat hatred.
"Together, we can bring about change and put an end to the culture of hatred that has already caused immense harm to humanity. I urge you to watch JVSJ on February 16th and support not only love and peace, but also the filmmakers who are advocating for this beautiful cause," he noted.
The movie's trailer, unveiled on Thursday, shows an enchanting love story of Simi Chahal and Imran Abbas.
The movie is slated to release on February 16, 2024.
Besides Abbas and Chahal, the film features a stellar ensemble cast, including prominent names from Pollywood such as Mintu Kapa, Udaya Vakati, Brian Shaw, Aman Bal, and Swaraj Sandhu.
Imran Abbas, with several forays into Bollywood, appeared in films like 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil,' the supernatural thriller 'Creature 3D' opposite Bipasha Basu, and the 2015 period drama 'Jaanisaar.’
