In an incident characterized as a "highly discriminating" robbery in US, two masked thieves, who had seized almost everything from a couple at gunpoint, surprisingly handed back an Android phone when they realized it wasn't the coveted iPhone they had originally sought.
A man in Washington, D.C. fell victim to armed robbers who took "everything in his pockets," including his car keys and Android smartphone. However, the silver lining emerged when the thieves, uninterested in the Android device, remarked, "Oh, that's an Android? This is not what we desire. I mistook it for an iPhone," according to the victim's wife.
The couple, who chose to remain anonymous, shared their harrowing experience with the media.
The wife, having just completed a late-night work shift, joined her husband in the parking lot. As he headed back to their apartment after parking the car, he encountered "two masked individuals" armed with guns.
Recounting the traumatic event, the woman explained, "They robbed him, took everything from his pockets, confiscated the keys to my truck, and drove off."
Interestingly, before making their escape, the robbers took a moment to inspect the stolen phone and promptly returned it to the husband. The wife clarified their reaction, stating, "They looked at that phone and said, 'Oh, that’s an Android? We don’t want this. I thought it was an iPhone.
