A group of burglars stole Labubu dolls worth thousands of dollars from a Los Angeles toy store.
Four suspects were caught on security cameras breaking into One Stop Sales in La Puente, eastern Los Angeles County, in the early hours of Wednesday, according to the sheriff’s department.
Officers said several boxes of Labubu dolls worth around $7,000 were taken, though store owners estimate the loss at more than $30,000 when factoring in individual sale prices.
“They just came in and, like nothing, took it all away,” co-owner Joanna Avendano told local broadcaster ABC 7, adding that the thieves ignored cash and other merchandise to focus solely on the collectible toys.

She alleged the raid was planned, noting a suspicious truck outside the store the previous night and suspecting the burglars had been monitoring the shop’s social media, which had just announced a new Labubu restock.
Labubus, which can sell for up to $500 each in stores and far more on resale markets, have developed a devoted fan base including celebrities. The craze has also fuelled counterfeit production and a growing black market.
The sheriff’s department said the suspects used a Toyota Tacoma, which was later found abandoned. The investigation is ongoing.
