'Workaholic' parents give up 3-month-old baby for adoption

A workaholic couple in the United States has decided to give up their three-month-old daughter for adoption as they prioritise their career on their baby. 

A post shared by the baby Elizbeth's father on the social media platform Reddit made users surprised in which a man anonymously shared an unconventional decision of him and his wife regarding their daughter.

In his post, the man said that he and his wife prioritised their career over their daughter, and their little one was not fitting into their lifestyle.

He also shared that his wife did not seem to interact much with the daughter unless the little one needed feeding, changing or bathing.

However, Elizbeth’s grandmother also lives in the same house and helps Catherine to look after her granddaughter but the baby’s mother avoids going over to her baby, even when she is crying.

Man shared that he and his wife are “workaholics, and very stubborn,” and “we are used to getting things on our way.”

He added after pregnancy, he thought that his wife would take maternity leave, but she went back after two weeks.”

“I can remember life without my daughter. I struggle to remember life without my wife,” the dad wrote.

“I love my daughter, don’t get me wrong, and adopting her out would be no easy feat. But keeping her could make my wife miserable – is, making her miserable.” 

However, Reddit users were shocked by the dad’s statement, which sparked a storm of comments and netizens termed the couple robots or aliens trying out human life.
