Gold rises Rs4,400 per tola in Pakistan

Gold prices in Pakistan moved up on Thursday, following an increase in rates in the international market.
In the local market, the price of gold rose by Rs4,400 per tola, reaching Rs483,962. The rate for 10 grams of gold also went up by Rs3,772, settling at Rs414,919, according to figures released by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association.
A day earlier, gold prices had dropped, with the per tola rate falling by Rs5,500 to Rs479,562 on Wednesday.
Globally, gold prices increased by $44, taking the rate to $4,616 per ounce, which includes a premium of $20.
Silver prices also saw an upward trend, gaining Rs55 per tola to reach Rs7,821.
