A recent survey conducted by Ipsos revealed that only 16 percent Pakistanis are satisfied with the economic condition of the country under Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif's government.

Over 1,000 people from across the country participated in the second-quarter report of Ipsos Pakistan Consumer Confidence Survey 2024.

The report claimed that the number of Pakistanis who expressed confidence in the current economic condition increased by 12 percent to 16 percent.

On the other hand, 68 percent Pakistanis think the country's economy is weak, while 16 percent call it medium.

In the survey, only 18 percent countrymen said that the country was in the right direction, while 82 voted against the premier's policies.

Almost 34 percent of respondents said that inflation was the most important issue in the country, while 26 percent called unemployment a major problem, poverty (11 percent), electricity load shedding (8 percent), electricity price (6 percent).

3 percent people viewed taxes as the major problem in the country, inequality in the implementation of the law (2 percent), corruption, bribery, adulteration and nepotism (2 percent), interference in the work of state institutions (2 percent), lack of public health facilities (1 percent).
