Over 90% Pakistanis struggle to afford daily necessities: survey

A recent consumer confidence survey conducted by Ipsos Pakistan has revealed a bleak picture of the country's economic situation.
The survey found that 94 percent Pakistanis face difficulties in purchasing household items for daily use, a 4% increase from previous figures.
Despite positive economic indicators from international rating agencies, the survey showed a decline in confidence among Pakistanis.
According to report, only 13 percent believe the country's economy is "strong", down from 16 percent previously. Almost 69 percent respondents consider the economy "weak", a 1 percent increase from the last survey.
The survey also highlighted growing pessimism about future economic recovery, with 70 percent countrymen expressing disappointment, a 19 percent increase.
Optimism about economic improvement has dwindled to 12 percent, a 10 percent decrease.
Furthermore, 67 percent respondents are disappointed with the improvement in their financial condition.
A significant 90 percent Pakistanis reported having no ability to save money for future, a 5 percent increase.
The findings suggested that the majority of Pakistanis are struggling to make ends meet.
