Petrol price may drop by up to Rs6 from Oct 16

Pakistan is expected to see a drop in prices of petroleum product in the upcoming fortnightly review, media reports said on Tuesday, citing sources.

As per initial estimates, the price of petrol may fall by around Rs6.10 per litre, while high-speed diesel could become cheaper by Rs1 per litre.

The price of kerosene oil is likely to go down by Rs2.75 per litre, and light diesel by Rs1.64 per litre.

The Ministry of Finance will announce the revised rates after examining the summary submitted by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA).

The new prices are expected to come into effect from October 16.
