After the drop in the prices of the crude oil in the international market, caretaker government of Pakistan has also slashed fuel prices for next fifteen days. 

According to details, fuel prices have been slashed by up to Rs14  per litre on the recommendation of the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA). 

Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar approved the changes in the prices of petroleum products.

According to the notification, the price of petrol has reduced by Rs14 and diesel by Rs13.50 per litre for the next 15 days of December.

Apart from this, the price of kerosene oil was also decreased by Rs10.14 and the price of light diesel oil by Rs11.29 per litre.

On November 31, the government had kept the petrol and HSD prices unchanged. 

During the last two weeks, the prices of diesel at the global level reached $95 per barrel and prices of petrol remained between $81 and $86 per barrel. Likewise, price of crude oil in the Brent oil market remained at $74 per barrel.

The ex-refinery price of diesel is Rs179.69 paisa per litre and petrol price is Rs170.73 per litre.
