The federal government has issued a Rs75 commemorative coin to mark Pakistan’s Independence Day and honour the armed forces’ valour in ‘Marka-e-Haq’.
In a statement, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) said that the coin is being issued “to honour the valour of our armed forces during the Marka-e-Haq and to celebrate Independence Day with due dignity.”
The obverse side of the coin features a waxing crescent moon and five-pointed star facing northwest in a rising position at the centre. The inscription “Islami Jamhuria Pakistan” in Urdu script runs along the upper periphery, while the year of issuance “2025” appears below the crescent, above two upward-curving wheat sprigs.
The numeral “75” in bold is placed to the right of the crescent, with the word “Rupia” in Urdu on the left.
The reverse side bears the inscription “Marka-e-Haq” in Urdu at the centre with “2025” in numerals beneath it.
Along the upper periphery, the phrase “Pakistan Hamesha Zindabad” is inscribed in Urdu script. The design also depicts two fighter aircraft — one on each side — along with a naval ship and a Multiple Rocket Launcher System (MRLS).
