US President Donald Trump earned more than $1 billion last year from cryptocurrency-related business activities, according to his 2025 financial disclosure.
The 927-page report showed that Trump received $635 million in royalties from an entity called $TRUMP, which is believed to be linked to his $TRUMP meme coin launched shortly before he returned to office.
The filing also revealed that he made over $500 million from World Liberty Financial, a crypto firm founded by his sons along with the children of his special envoy Steve Witkoff.
Overall, Trump’s latest financial disclosure showed total earnings of at least $2.2 billion, much higher than the more than $600 million he reported the previous year.
The White House rejected suggestions that Trump was benefiting from his position in office.
Trump said on Wednesday that rising markets had benefited everyone and added that he does not personally manage his finances.
The White House also repeated that Trump’s business interests are held in a trust managed by his sons and denied any conflict of interest.
Deputy press secretary Anna Kelly said Trump had helped make the United States the “crypto capital of the world.”
