Dera Ismail Khan welcomes first test tube baby

The first-ever test tube baby (IVF) has been born in Dera Ismail Khan, giving hope to couples struggling with infertility in the region.
According to media reports, this breakthrough was achieved through the dedicated efforts of a medical team working in collaboration between Abida Infertility ICSI & Maternity Home Services (AIIMS) and Rehmania Hospital, Dera Ismail Khan.
The project was led by Dr Aneela Rehman and Dr Sabiha Rehman, who utilised advanced reproductive technologies to achieve this milestone.
Speaking to the media, Dr Aneela Rehman declared the IVF results satisfactory and in line with national standards.
She said: “This achievement symbolizes hope, happiness, and a new start for childless couples in Dera Ismail Khan”
The medical team congratulated the family on the birth of a healthy baby girl and extended their best wishes for her bright and prosperous future.
