A recent study conducted by University College London has found an alarming link between e-cigarette use and infertility in women.
The study analysed the blood samples and lifestyle habits of 325,000 women seeking to become mothers.
The reserach revealed that e-cigarette and vape use can lead to hormonal changes that increase the risk of infertility in women.
According to the study, 22 percent of the women studied used e-cigarettes, while 27 percent were smokers, 7 percent were drug users, and 40 percent were alcohol addicts.
Researchers found that women who used cigarettes or e-cigarettes experienced changes in their hormones that can lead to infertility.
"Our advice to women is to try to get rid of this habit if they want to become mothers," said the researchers.
"Women who want to become mothers should completely avoid drugs, e-cigarettes, cigarettes, or alcohol."
The study's findings are particularly concerning given the high rate of e-cigarette use among young women.
According to estimates, 40 percent 15-year-old girls in the UK use e-cigarettes, which the government is taking measures to prevent.
