Hira Soomro unhappy with criticism of Shoaib-Sana wedding

TV actress Hira Soomro recently called out society’s double standards over criticism of Shoaib Malik's third marriage with Sana Javed.

Soomro vaguely expressed support for the couple, highlighting the perception that men with girlfriends in Pakistan are often viewed positively, while married men face criticism. 

“Pakistan is an Islamic country, but here, every man getting married is shameless and a man having a girlfriend walks with his head held high,” the actress wrote on her Instagram story.

Despite not outright endorsing Shoaib Malik and Sana Javed, Soomro shared these thoughts on their third marriage. However, she faced backlash for praising the couple and was reminded that both personalities cheated on their first spouses.

Social media users emphasised the importance of fidelity in relationships, noting that while marriage is not inherently bad, engaging in other relationships while married is condemned.

It's worth mentioning that Shoaib Malik and Sana Javed officially confirmed their marriage on January 20 through Instagram, sharing wedding photos.

Shoaib Malik's second marriage with Indian tennis star Sania Mirza ended a few months back due to reported differences.

However, his former wife Sania Mirza congratulated him on his third marriage with Sana Javed in the official statement released by the Mirza family.
