Veteran Pakistani television actor Saima Qureshi has reiterated her controversial views, claiming that 95 percent of men desire a second marriage.
Speaking on a podcast, Qureshi revisited her earlier statements on women’s earnings and men’s marital choices.
She argued that instead of pursuing extramarital affairs, men should take responsibility by entering into another marriage, as irresponsible behavior impacts not only families but also future generations.
She questioned why society condemns second marriages while turning a blind eye to illicit affairs: “Is it better for a man to have an affair than to marry again?”

Qureshi further asserted that if a wife does not consent to her husband’s second marriage, her permission is not mandatory under Islamic principles.
She asserted that men should make clear and responsible decisions to avoid forbidden relationships, urging them to fulfill their desires in line with religious guidelines rather than bowing to social pressures.
