The content creator duo, Azlan Shah and Warisha Javed shared their opinion over Fahad Mustafa's critique without explicitly mentioning him. They asserted that the actor still perceives YouTubers, social media influencers, and TikTokers as inferior.

Earlier in a podcast, Fahad Mustafa blasted the nature of content on TikTok, pointing out how everyday household discussions and sensitive topics find their way onto the platform. "Is this really content?" he asked.

Fahad Mustafa’s remarks did not sit well with many social media influencers and TikTokers, who expressed disappointment at being called out for ‘exposing their families and women for content.’

Azlan Shah and Varisha Javed have now added their perspective to the conversation in a podcast.

Without directly referencing Fahad Mustafa, the YouTuber duo emphasised that actors and content creators “contribute value and entertainment through their content,” acknowledging that “the approach of people in both fields is different.”

Azlan Shah pointed out that making such statements on behalf of actors reveals “underlying jealousy towards social media influencers.”

He expressed that this attitude indicates that actors perceive themselves as superior to social media content creators, viewing social media influencers as inferior.

He clarified that “numerous content creators, being couples, occasionally produce bold content, but asserting that they are ‘selling their family’ is inappropriate.”

Azlan Shah remarked, "In reality, actors haven't grasped the power of social media. They are unaware of its evolution, and those who have, have established their own YouTube channels, even earning the ‘play’ button."

The podcast hosts mentioned that it wouldn't be an issue if such comments came from the general public, but when an actor makes such statements, it becomes distressing.

Previously, Fahad Mustafa's comments directed at vloggers sparked a heated debate on the nature of social media content in Pakistan.

Casting doubt on the dividing line between acting and vlogging, popular YouTuber Maaz Safder argued that both involve ‘selling’ something to the audience.
