Pakistan's Ahmed Memon is set to make his country's debut at the 16th edition of the Mr International Pageant in Bangkok this December.
Pakistan's participation in the prestigious men's international beauty pageant marks a major milestone.
Memon's journey began when his friend, Erica Robin, the first Miss Universe Pakistan, introduced him to the concept of male beauty pageants.
According to the 25-year-old, Erica encouraged him to apply for the male beauty pageant.
After researching, Memon realised Pakistan's absence and thought, "Why not raise the green crescent flag on a global stage?"
Following meetings and interviews with representatives from across Pakistan, Memon received the call confirming his selection.
While talking to Geo News, he acknowledged the surprise of being chosen, especially since he was among the last to be interviewed from Karachi.
When asked about his attire choices at the event, Memon said he would showcase Pakistan's rich culture.
"I would prefer mostly traditional and beautiful clothes that reflect my country's heritage."
For the National Gown Round, Memon is designing a custom gown that will highlight Pakistan's historical significance.
Even for swimwear, he plans to incorporate elements representing Pakistan's cultural identity.
