N. Nazimabad Assistant Commissioner Hazim Bangwar secures admission at Harvard

Singer and Assistant Commissioner Hazim Bangwar, known for his community welfare activities in Karachi, announced his enrollment into Harvard University for a master's program. 

Expressing immense excitement on 'X,' he shared, "I’m beyond ecstatic to share this! Getting accepted into Harvard University for Masters is a dream come true!

In a subsequent post, Hazim clarified that he wouldn't leave the country after enrolling in the prestigious university. He mentioned that he had enrolled in an online program and would only depart for his graduation ceremony.

“First of all thank you for all the love and well wishes. I just want to clarify that I’m not leaving Pakistan nor my job. I will continue to serve my public and I will be attending my classes online,” his post read.

According to his website, Bangwar finished his first degree in Fashion Design and Marketing from AIU London and then pursued an LLB from a university in London.

Aside from excelling in academics, Hazim also possesses a keen interest in fashion and music. 

He has collaborated with internationally acclaimed artists such as Jessie J, Future, Ciara, and Nicki Minaj, showcasing his talent on a global stage.

His first solo release, 'Haram,'garnered international praise  in countries like South Korea, Hungary, Egypt, and India.

In 2021, Hazim mesmerised audiences with his heartfelt Urdu track 'Tujhko Bhulaya,' drawing over 75,000 views on YouTube.

Hazim is a multifaceted individual actively involved in community welfare programs and philanthropic activities. He is associated with several human and animal rights NGOs in Pakistan and abroad, focusing his efforts on education, environmental conservation, animal welfare, and emergency response programs.

In January 2023, he was appointed as the Assistant Commissioner of North Nazimabad.
