The immensely popular suspenseful series, 'Money Heist,' is set to return as the teaser of its prequel, 'Berlin' has been released on Netflix.

This prequel centers around Andrés de Fonollosa (Pedro Alonso), aka Berlin, the right-hand man to the Professor.

The ‘Money Heist’ aficionados will witness a spectacular heist unfold in Paris, orchestrated by the mastermind Berlin.

The target this time is Chez Vienot, Maison des Encheres—the largest and most prestigious auction house in Paris.

Executing this grand theft is Berlin's eclectic team including, Keila (Michelle Jenner), Cameron (Begoña Vargas), Damián (Tristán Ulloa), Bruce (Joel Sánchez), and Roi (Julio Peña). To add to the intrigue, the brilliant police detectives Alicia Sierra (Najwa Nimri) and Raquel Murillo (Itziar Ituño) from Spain are brought in to thwart the heist, likely due to their adept negotiation skills and the connection of the thieves to their home country.

Berlin will premiere on December 29, 2023, on Netflix all over the world. Check out the official trailer of Berlin below.

Scheduled for a global premiere on December 29, 2023, on Netflix, check out 'Berlin’s' official trailer available below.

Unlike the iconic masks that symbolised resistance in the original 'Money Heist,' the absence of masks in the 'Berlin' trailer suggests a departure from the previous seasons.

This prequel seems poised to showcase a narrative centered around an anti-hero, coupled with an intensively suspenseful plot.

Berlin, unhindered by a terminal illness this time, plans the heist with meticulous precision, making viewers uncomfortable through gruesome murder and his unyielding demeanor.

The series unfolds in the wake of two heists. The first was executed at the Royal Mint of Spain while the second, a retaliation against the police's illegal torture of Rio, unfolded at the Bank of Spain.

'Berlin' deviates from its Professor's resistance-based, Robin Hood-style narrative, opting for a unique and gripping storyline.
