Court allows plea for forensic analysis of Aroob Jatoi’s cellphone in gambling app case

A sessions court in Lahore has allowed the request to conduct a forensic examination of the mobile phone of Aroob Jatoi, wife of YouTuber Saadur Rehman alias Ducky Bhai, in a case related to the promotion of gambling applications.

Additional Sessions Judge Mansoor Ali Qureshi heard Aroob Jatoi’s bail application. She appeared before the court along with her counsel.

During the hearing, the investigating officer requested the court to grant permission and time to carry out the forensic analysis of the accused’s mobile phone. Accepting the request of the NCCIA investigation team, the court allowed the mobile forensic examination.

The defence counsel argued that the forensic report usually takes more than one or two weeks and requested the court to fix a date after Ramazan. The court subsequently extended Aroob Jatoi’s interim bail until March 24.

Judge Mansoor Qureshi directed her to ensure her presence at future hearings, observing that no further exemption from appearance would be granted during the period of interim bail.

A case in connection with the promotion of a gambling application has been registered against Ducky Bhai, his wife Aroob Jatoi and others by the NCCIA.
