Actor and host Fiza Ali advised working women to respect their husbands, emphasizing that, according to religion, men have been given the role of leaders in marriage. She noted that many women disrespect their spouses over financial matters, which she believes is wrong.
Speaking on her Ramadan show, Fiza Ali stated that in today's society, women who earn independently often stop considering their husbands worthy of respect or start seeing themselves as ‘men.’
She explained that if a husband is struggling financially or unable to provide well for his family, a wife's lack of respect can create further problems. "Try to stand by him in life," she urged, adding that women should avoid taunting their husbands or boasting about earning more than them.

She further stated that instead of complaining about their husband’s financial struggles or mistreating them, women should consider the mental toll on men who are trying to provide for their families.
"Allah has designated husbands as bosses for their wives; this has been made clear by God," she said, urging women to acknowledge this status and offer respect and support.
“Do not flaunt your earnings in front of your husband or remind him that you are providing for the family instead of him,” she warned, advising women to remain humble to maintain a harmonious relationship.
However, Fiza Ali clarified that in cases where men become excessively abusive, insulting, or torturous, Islam grants women the right to leave such a marriage.
"Such men are mentally unstable and were not raised properly by their families," she opined, asserting that women should not destroy their lives by staying in such relationships.
