At least 15 people were killed, including four journalists, when Israeli forces launched strikes on Nasser Hospital in Gaza on Monday, AFP reported, citing Palestinian health officials.
The officials said one of the journalists, cameraman Hussam al-Masri, who worked as a contractor for Reuters, was killed in the first strike. Another Reuters contractor, photographer Hatem Khaled, was injured when a second strike hit the area.
The Israeli military and the prime minister’s office did not immediately comment on the incident.
Witnesses reported that the second strike came after rescuers, journalists, and others rushed to the scene of the first attack.

Reuters said its live video feed from the hospital, being operated by Masri at the time, abruptly went offline when the initial strike occurred.
Health officials identified the other journalists killed as Mariam Abu Dagga, Mohammed Salama, and Moaz Abu Taha. A rescue worker was also among the dead.
According to the Palestinian Journalists Syndicate, more than 240 Palestinian journalists have been killed in Israeli attacks since the conflict erupted on October 7, 2023.
