"I am not pregnant:" Mahira Khan debunks Indian media rumours

Reports emerged in Indian media that Pakistani megastar Mahira Khan may be expecting her first child with husband Salim Karim. The speculation originated from a Reddit post suggesting that she withdrew from a Netflix project, supposedly due to pregnancy.

The post on Reddit read, “So, I got this news from a close source that she opted out of the esteemed Netflix project alongside a big film as she’s expecting her second child somewhere in August or September. An announcement could be made soon or not if she chooses to announce it after birth but as she’s a big celeb and can’t keep it lowkey for long, I personally feel that she will announce.”

Speculations about Mahira Khan's pregnancy swirled in Indian media outlets until the actress herself debunked the rumours while speaking to a Pakistani news outlet.

Mahira Khan is set to star in Pakistan's first Netflix original series, "Jo Bachay Hain Sang Samait Lo," alongside Fawad Khan, Sanam Saeed, Hania Aamir, and others.

She maintained, “ "It’s not true that I’m pregnant. And I haven’t left the Netflix series."

Mahira Khan laid the pregnancy rumours to rest and plans to continue her scheduled projects. She tied the knot with Salim Karim in a whimsical wedding ceremony in October, 2023.
