“I don’t like goriyan, Pakistani women are beautiful,” says Humayun Saeed

Renowned actor Humayun Saeed attributed his success to the support of several women including his wife and and his female colleagues, who shaped his career in the industry.

"While traveling abroad, friends often tease me about seeking out "goriyan'" (foreign women with fair complexions). However, I find Pakistani women beautiful, and I particularly admire our natural skin tones, I don’t like “goriyan", the crown actor said.

In response to another question, Humayun Saeed said that the saying goes that behind every successful man there is a woman but in his case, “it’s not just one woman, it's many." 

He went on to acknowledge the specific contributions of several women,who helped him excel in acting career, including his wife Samina, along with actresses Nadia Jamil and Sania Saeed, as well as directors Maheen Jabbar and Marina Khan.

When asked about scandals, the "Gentleman" actor admitted that he used to take rumors and scandals about himself lightly. However, now they affect him deeply because they impact his family.

"With the rise of social media, people readily believe everything," he said.

He added that there are many kinds of scandals circulating on social media. 

"There are rumors about me being married to actresses Meera, Ayesha Khan, or Mishi Khan, people believe them. But I have only one marriage, and that is to Samina.”

The celebrated star also revealed a deep fear of losing loved ones. "The thought of them being upset and leaving me truly scares me."

Huamyun Saeed disclosed that he used to work in a garment factory before unexpectedly landing a role in a drama. The positive feedback to his debut performance ultimately propelled him towards a successful acting career.
