Bollywood actor Ayushmann Khurrana's video, in which he is humming Pakistan's popular anthem 'Dil Dil Pakistan' during a musical concert, has resurfaced on social media.

While many appreciated his rendition of the beloved Pakistani anthem, he faced criticism from hardline Indians who perceived it as disrespecting their sentiments amid the prevailing animosity between the two countries.

The video garnered widespread attention, with some strongly criticising him, particularly the Sanghis (Hindu nationalists), questioning his religious convictions and patriotism.

One Indian 'X' user expressed discontent, stating, "These Bollywood clowns do anything for money."

Many observed the contradictions in Ayushman Khurrana's actions, having attended the inauguration ceremony of the Ram temple over the razed Babri mosque in Ayodhya organised by the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), yet singing the national anthem of Pakistan, leading to a debate about his stance.

'X' user Siddharth trolled the ā€˜Dum Laga Ke Haisha' actor for adapting his convictions based on circumstances.

According to the Indian website DNA India, Ayushmann's viral video dates back almost seven years to a concert in Dubai in 2017.

In the other part of the video, the actor pays tribute to people from different states and regions of India. Following this, he performs on the songs 'Dil Dil Pakistan' and 'Chak De India' alongside his brother Aparshakti Khurana.

This video has gained attention on social media after the ceremony at the Ram temple.Ā

The opening ceremony of the Ram Temple, occurred a few days ago, at the historic Babri Masjid site in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh.

Renowned Bollywood actors, including Alia Bhatt, Katrina Kaif, Ranbir Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, and Ayushmann Khurrana, attended the event.
