Indian singer Shreya Ghoshal is a ‘big fan’ of Ali Zafar

In a heartening exchange of appreciation across borders between Indian and Pakistani artists, the acclaimed music maestro Shreya Ghoshal lauded the iconic vocalist Ali Zafar for his soul-stirring melodies, particularly applauding his widely acclaimed track, 'Jhoom Jhoom.'

Taking to the microblogging platform 'X,' Shreya Ghoshal expressed her deep admiration for the Zafar, declaring herself a 'big fan' of the 'Jhoom' singer.

In contrast to earlier instaces of Indian artists engaged in inappropriate practices by appropriating the creations of Pakistani musicians without proper acknowledgment, Shreya announced to release a remake of 'Jhoom' with singer Vishal Mishra in an upcoming Bollywood film by giving due credit and respect to Ali.

“Dil jhoom jhoom chale jhoom chale sohneya I have always been a big fan of @AliZafarsays and the beautiful song Jhoom! It’s very close to my heart.. and I can’t wait for you all to listen to the song once again as a part of the film Crakk with @VishalMMishra and @tanishkbagchi Stay tuned!” She wrote on ‘X’.

Ali Zafar released his third iconic music album ‘Jhoom’  in 2011. 

In a heartfelt response, Ali Zafar expressed his gratitude towards Shreya Ghoshal and eagerly looked forward to experiencing his iconic song through the voices of both Shreya and Vishal Mishra.
