It was not liquor but holy water sent by my Pir, says Rahat Fateh Ali Khan

Pakistan's renowned singer, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan has released a clarification video along with his student whom he had beaten.

Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is a famous Pakistani classical singer who is admired internationally because of his popular songs and Qawalis.

In a video message, Rahat said that the bottle he was asking for didn’t contain any liquor, rather it had a holy water which he got from a religious cleric who recited versus on the water.

The student who was assaulted by the singer was also seen in the video.

The singer had to release a clarification message after video of his beating househelp went viral.
