Renowned drama writer and director Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar has reportedly received threats from an unidentified individual demanding Rs15 million in extortion, along with threats to leak an obscene video if the amount was not paid.

According to details, an FIR has been filed at Raiwind Police Station in Lahore on the complaint of Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar.

As per the contents of the FIR, the unidentified caller made repeated calls and messages to Qamar, demanding Rs15 million and threatening to release an explicit video involving Amna Urooj if the demand was ignored.

Meanwhile, Raiwind Police have launched an investigation into the matter.

It is worth recalling that in July 2024, a gang led by Amna Urooj allegedly kidnapped Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar under the pretense of producing a drama, subjected him to physical assault, and looted cash and valuables.

Following his abduction, police registered a case and arrested the prime suspect Amna Urooj along with several accomplices.

Later, obscene videos featuring the drama writer and Amna Urooj were leaked online, leading to further arrests.

On April 14, 2025, an anti-terrorism court in Lahore, presided over by Judge Arshad Javed, sentenced Amna Urooj, Mamnoon Haider, and Zeeshan to seven years in prison each, while other accused were acquitted. One suspect in the honey-trap case remains out on bail.
