Sabeena Farooq urges govt to "punish culprits" of Sarim murder case

Expressing frustration over seven-year-old Sarim’s murder after being raped, renowned actress Sabeena Farooq urged the Sindh government to “punish the culprits.”

Seven-year-old Sarim was kidnapped on January 7, and he was reportedly thrown in a water tank after being sexually assaulted and killed. His body was found eleven days after his disappearance. 

The disturbing incident deeply upset the 'Kabuli Pulao' actor, prompting her to demand that authorities take swift action against the perpetrators.

“I request the Sindh government to investigate and punish the culprits behind this because enough of this already,” Sabeena wrote while sharing a news post about the rape and murder of a minor. 

“The kid was only 7,” she said, expressing her anger over the incident. She urged fans and friends to share the post to raise awareness and pressure authorities into taking swift action.

Karachi has seen a sharp rise in kidnapping cases in recent days, with children increasingly becoming victims.

According to reports, at least five children were allegedly kidnapped in January. Sarim was one of these children and he was found dead. The remaining four children, including a 15-year-old girl, remain missing.

15-year-old Zahra Batool was reported missing from Gulshan-e-Iqbal on January 17. The police registered a case on a complaint filed by her father. On the same day, 10-year-old Ayan disappeared from Orangi Town.

A few days earlier, 5-year-old Aliyan, also known as Ali, and 6-year-old Ali Raza were reported missing from Garden West.
