"Zameen kha gayi ya asmaan nikal gaya!"

Mohsin Pervaiz uttered these words in shock as authorities work to resolve the alleged kidnapping case of 7-year-old Sarim, who went missing on January 7 while returning home from madrasa.

It has been 10 days since the parents last saw Sarim. The grieving father claimed he received one prank call from Punjab and another fake call demanding ransom money with threats. "I told the other person that we are in great distress, and you are playing a prank on us," the father remarked during an interview with Dialogue Pakistan.

Later, the mother received a ransom call from a Middle Eastern number demanding PKR 500,000, accompanied by threats. However, it was later discovered that the miscreant had a history of defrauding others through fake calls.

"I don’t know if my son has worn his jacket or not, if he’s eaten anything or not," the mother said in grief.

The parents revealed that the madrasa instructor has been taken as a suspect based on complaints from neighbors and some unusual or offensive material that police allegedly found on his cellphone.

The parents have urged authorities to hasten their efforts in the search for their beloved child and appealed to the public to remain vigilant about such alarming incidents before it’s too late.
