Shadab, wife celebrate first wedding anniversary in Madinah

Pakistani all-rounder Shadab Khan and his wife celebrated their first wedding anniversary in the sacred city, Madinah.

Taking to the microblogging site X, the cricketer shared a photo of the couple standing in the courtyard of Masjid-al Nabawi.

The Islamabad United skipper penned a heartfelt note for his wonderful wife on their first anniversary, saying "A year of ups and downs in my life but you have stood by me."

"We have cried together, laughed together, and created countless memories. Thank you for being my partner in this journey," he added in a post. 

"I can’t thank Allah enough for bringing u into my life. Started year 2 together with Umrah. May Allah always keep us together, happy and healthy."

Shabad had announced his Nikkah with Saqlain Mushtaq’s daughter in January last year. However, the wedding festivities commenced on February 8.

On February 13, 2023, Shadab brought his bride home after a week-long festivities.
