Renowned comedian Tabish Hashmi voiced his frustration with the current state of the country's politics. However, he also revealed his ambition to enter politics himself soon.

In a recent interview, Tabish Hashmi opened up about his personal journey, and his decision to relocate from Karachi to Lahore, and offered his views on the political landscape, with hints of a potential political career.

Responding to a question regarding the politicians he admires, the humorist expressed a deep sense of disillusionment, asserting that none of the prominent politicians, despite their several turns at the helm, had managed to enact meaningful change.

“Can't say I have a favourite politician after all that," he said.

Despite his disenchantment with the current state of the country, Tabish remains a strong believer in democracy, emphasising that he “actively exercises his right to vote, and intends to continue doing so.”

The quick-witted comedian expressed his eagerness to enter politics, "but only when the country achieves stability and implements policies that benefit the public."

Responding to the criticism for using double entendres in his comedy, Hashmi defended his approach by saying that "humor is subjective".

He maintained that some comedians in the past relied on jokes that demeaned women and transgender people, but he discourages such content on his show.

Hashmi also expressed frustration that audiences often overlook positive efforts and focus solely on the aspects they dislike.

During the interview, Tabish explained that Karachi’s current law and order situation prompted his decision to relocate his family to Lahore.
