A laboratory report about samples collected from actor and model Humaira Asghar’s apartment has revealed that the white powder found at the flat is sea salt.

Investigators had taken six samples from the flat where the actor was found dead, according to a media report.

Five samples were collected from various bowls in the apartment and one from a container in the kitchen.

The lab report revealed that all five bowls contained sea salt, which is commonly used to absorb odours and deter insects.

The sixth sample, taken from the kitchen container, was identified as iodised salt.

Sources familiar with the investigation say the presence of sea salt in multiple bowls may not be coincidental and could help determine the circumstances surrounding her death.

However, the investigators have yet to determine the exact cause of the death.
