Actor Saif Ali Khan was attacked at his Bandra home in the early hours of Thursday morning, sustaining six stab wounds, including injuries to his hand, neck, and spine.

The suspect gained entry to the property by climbing a wall adjacent to Khan’s building and using a fire escape to reach the floors where Khan’s apartment is located.

CCTV footage shows the suspect, dressed casually in a t-shirt, jeans, and a backpack, walking down the building’s stairwell at 2:33 a.m.

Khan’s house help, Eliyama Phillipes, spotted the intruder and immediately alerted the actor, who confronted the assailant.

During the confrontation, the suspect stabbed Khan multiple times, causing severe injuries. Two other household staff were also injured in the attack.

Khan was rushed to Lilavati Hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery to remove a knife lodged in his spine.

Doctors have confirmed that the actor is stable and recovering well. "The surgery was successful, and Khan is now out of danger," said Dr. Nitin Dange, the lead surgeon.

Police have filed charges of robbery, trespassing, and grievous harm against the suspect. Investigators have formed multiple teams to track down the attacker, with the Mumbai Police Crime Branch also involved in the case.
