YouTuber Rajab Butt arrested for keeping lion cub and illegal weapons

LAHORE: YouTuber Rajab Butt, who has been making headlines for his lavish wedding event, was arrested for illegally keeping a lion cub and weapons without license.

Rajab, who began his career with the Geo TV drama Rani alongside Kinza Hashmi, has grown into one of Pakistan’s biggest digital influencers.

The raid was conducted at a private housing society by the police in collaboration with the Wildlife Department.

According to reports, the Chung Police apprehended the accused and transferred him to the police station for further legal action.

The YouTuber was being widely criticised for showing off money at his marriage.

With 1.1 million Instagram followers and a YouTube family of 4.25 million subscribers, he was the most-watched creator in 2024. His vlogs, family adventures, and occasional controversies have made him a household name.

On the Baraat, Mr Rajab stunned in an off-white sherwani, while Mrs Rajab showed up in a maroon bridal dress.

The couple’s big day brought together close friends, family, and fellow influencers, making the celebrations even more special.
