The government has announced a major reduction in Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) prices ahead of the New Year, as per a notification issued by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA).

According to OGRA's notification for January 2025, the price of LPG has been reduced by Rs4 per kilogram, bringing it down to Rs250.28 per kilogram.

The revised rates also apply to LPG cylinders. Domestic cylinders will now cost Rs2,953, reflecting a decrease of Rs47, while commercial cylinders will be priced at Rs11,363, a reduction of Rs182.

Additionally, OGRA stated that the official production cost of LPG has been cut by Rs4,020 per metric ton, making LPG more affordable for consumers nationwide.
