In a bid to effectively meet the new challenges posed by the transformation of the global security dynamic, Pakistan is set to host the 12th edition of IDEAS in November, a gathering of global defense manufacturers to revitalise the arms industry.
The steering committee of Sindh decided on Tuesday that the IDEAS Expo will be held from November 19 to 22 at Expo Centre Karachi.
The event welcomes industry players from across the world who will showcase the latest technological innovations.
“It provides a shared platform dedicated to advancing global peace, stability, and prosperity, bringing together foreign delegates, defence manufacturers, and thought leaders to discuss today’s defence and security challenges,” Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah said while addressing the third meeting of the steering committee on IDEAS Expo.
Provincial Ministers, Major General Asad Nawaz Khan of Hilal Imtiaz Military, Chief Secretary Asif Hyder Shah, Federal Ministers, and representatives from law enforcement agencies attended the meeting.
“The government of Sindh will provide all assistance to make it successful, as this exhibition has significant value for the defence strategy of Pakistan,” he said.
The exhibition will also feature an air show at Sea View (Nishan-e-Pakistan) on November 21, 2024, for the residents of Karachi.
