Sujawal AC issues clarification after failure to stand for anthem

Assistant Commissioner Sujawal, Syed Wajahat Ali has released his clarification message on his failure to stand in respect of the national anthem during a ceremony in a school.

In his video message, the AC said due to 'illness' he could not stand in respect of the national anthem during a ceremony and the video was made viral on social media.

Mr. Wajahat said he is a patriotic and proud Pakistani and rejected the propaganda on social media.

Earlier, a video of the AC went viral on social media showing himself sitting on a sofa during the national anthem in a ceremony probably on March 23 in a school.

In the video, an army officer and others were seen standing in respect of the national anthem, while the AC was seen sitting in his seat.
