Hazim Bangwar, known for his distinctive style, has been removed from his position as Assistant Commissioner of North Karachi, according to an official notice.
Legal issues surrounding his actions led to his removal. Bangwar, a fashion design graduate, reportedly complied with an order from the Sindh High Court (SHC) by issuing notices to two officers.
Upon the directives of the Commissioner of Karachi and the SHC, Hazim Bangwar wrote letter to two office holders, instructing them to vacate their government-provided residences as they were not eligible.
He issued a notice to two deputy secretaries, Zahid Jamika and Fatima Ahmed, who were living in the commissioner's compound.
It was written in the letter that the said officers were not part of the commissioner's office and the houses they occupied had been allocated for employees of the commissioner’s residence.
Following the aforementioned notification, the Deputy Commissioner Karachi issued notification of Bangwar's removal from his office.
Hazim Bangwar has been removed under the direction of the services and general administration department (S&GD), which oversees government residences and has the authority to issue notifications regarding the transfer and posting of Assistant Commissioners.
