Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan's wife, Bushra Bibi, claimed that someone had mixed three drops of toilet cleaner in her food on the day of Shab-e-Mairaj.
The former first lady made startling revelations during an informal conversation with journalists at Adiala jail, where the hearing of a £190 million settlement case was held.
However, she refused to disclose the identities of the sources who conveyed this information regarding the alleged poisoning.
"In my research, I discovered that the effects of toilet cleaner on one's health manifest after a month. I've experienced swelling in my eyes, chest discomfort, and stomach pains. I also find food and water bitter," she said.
When questioned about providing evidence to support her claims in case of an inquiry, she responded, "How am I supposed to provide evidence?"
On the other hand, the former prime minister, during the hearing, claimed that Bushra Bibi was poisoned at Bani Gala.
He said that there were "marks" on Bushra Bibi's skin and tongue, which proved his claims.
The veteran politician urged the court to provide Bushra Bibi with a full-medical examination at Shaukat Khanum hospital.
At this, the court directed the PTI founder to submit a request seeking a medical examination of Bushra Bibi.
