Following the sudden disappearance of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan's spouse, Bushra Bibi, from the protest site, her sister Maryam Riaz Wattoo expressed concerns for former first lady's safety, claiming that she was not in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
Bushra Bibi and KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, who were leading the PTI convoy from KP to Islamabad, disppeared abruptly after authorities launched an operation to disperse PTI workers.
After the duo's disappearance, Bushra Bibi's sister shared a video message on X, expressing concerns about her whereabouts.
"It is being said that she has been arrested or managed to escape to KP, but it seems she has been kidnapped," Maryam Riaz Wattoo said.
She added, "If Bushra Bibi were in KP, she would contact her family, but there has been no communication with her so far."

Maryam Riaz Wattoo stated that her sister was abducted because she had explained the protest strategy, which could only be called off on Imran Khan's orders, as no one else had the authority to end the demonstration.
However, sources confirmed that Bushra Bibi and Ali Amin Gandapur had reached KP safely.
On the other hand, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi stated that efforts were being made to detain Bushra Bibi and Ali Amin Gandapur.
