Investigation team visits Mir Raza’s residence, meets family

Karachi police have constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate the death of Mir Raza, as the probe into the high-profile case continues.

Raza — an IBA graduate — returned home from his shop on the night of July 28 before leaving again, telling his family he would be back within 10 minutes. Police later recovered his body from bushes in Block 1 of Gulistan-e-Jauhar.

According to police sources, SSP CIA Samiullah Soomro visited Mir Raza’s residence as part of the investigation. SSP East Zubair Nazir Shaikh has also been included in the special investigation team.

The officers comprising the investigative committee met with Mir Raza’s family to gather information and discuss the progress of the investigation.

Police have not yet disclosed further details about the inquiry, which remains underway as investigators continue to examine all available evidence and determine the circumstances surrounding Mir Raza’s death.
