PTI founder Imran Khan responded to a question about Maulana Fazlur Rahman's role in the constitutional amendment, saying that he couldn't say much, but if Maulana is standing for democracy, that's a good thing.
During an informal conversation with journalists on the occasion of the 190 million pound reference hearing at Adiala Jail, the PTI founder said that the government is determined to bring the constitutional amendment.
When a journalist asked if the matter of the constitutional amendment had reversed, Imran Khan replied that the government would bring the amendment by gathering the necessary numbers.
Another journalist inquired how he viewed Maulana Fazlur Rahman's role in the amendment. Imran Khan responded, "I can't say much."
When the journalist pressed further, asking if Imran was clear about Maulana's stance, he added, "If Maulana is standing for democracy, then that’s a positive thing. All political parties must unite for the sake of democracy."
Imran Khan further stated that "these people" are afraid that the new Chief Justice will investigate the events of May 9. He emphasized that the truth will come out when the May 9 petition comes before the new Chief Justice.
