Mir Raza murder case: Court grants IO until Sept 7 to submit probe report

A judicial magistrate in Karachi has granted the investigating officer (IO) until September 7 to submit the investigation report in the Mir Raza murder case.

The case was heard by the Judicial Magistrate East, where IO Siraj Lashari and lawyers representing Mir Raza’s family appeared before the court.

During the hearing, the IO sought more time to complete the investigation and submit the report.

The court accepted the request and directed him to submit the report by September 7.

The complainant’s lawyer asked the IO to brief the court on the progress made in the investigation so far.

The IO informed the court that forensic reports of Mir Raza’s mobile phone and other belongings had not yet been received, due to which more time was required to complete the investigation.
